Dominic Higham (Managing Director)

Previously a Lloyd's reinsurance broker, Dominic left Lloyd's in 2002 to found PatientChoice Ltd as a new affordable approach to private medical insurance in the UK known as Hospital Treatment Plans (HTPs). HTPs offer fixed benefits to people requiring an operation or a medical procedure allowing them to choose treatments of private care. He was the named underwriter on delegated underwriting facilities for several insurance companies including Munich Re, Legal and General and Foresters Friendly Society. PatientChoice was the recipient of several industry awards and acquired in March 2011 by Westfield Health. He founded MediCheque Cash Plans Limited in March 2012 launching MyRecoveryCheque in the UK in February 2013.

Dr Tony Williams BA, MB, MB, BChir, DTM&H, AFOM, MFOM, FFOM, (Medical Director)

Tony is founder and director of Working Fit Ltd which delivers occupational health consultancy services to a variety of industries in Kent and organisations and further afield. His specialist areas include the following:

  • Occupational Health Law and Disability. Regularly lecturing to occupational physicians and nurses on legal issues in occupational health.
  • Returning to work after surgery. Appointed by both the Faculty of Occupational Medicine and Society of Occupational Medicine to provide occupational health advice to the Royal College of Surgeons and Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology from 2007. Author of chapter on Fitness after Surgery for the next edition of Fitness for Work.
  • Ill health retirement pensions assessments. Extensive experience in Local Government Pensions Scheme, ALAMA Local Authority representative to the Department of Communities and Local Government.
  • Musculoskeletal problems and rehabilitation. Extensive expertise developed during several tours with Airborne and Special Forces and continued with work through Atos with Royal Mail, National Offender Management Service, Fire Services and all other contracts involving manual handling and physical work.
